Nancy Pelosi told fellow Democrats in the US House of Representatives yesterday that she was willing to run to be their leader again.
Ms Pelosi (72) is seen as a crusading reformer by backers but a reckless liberal by Republican critics. “I have made a decision to submit my name to my colleagues to serve once again as House Democratic leader,” she said.
Democratic lawmakers and aides said Ms Pelosi, who 10 years ago became the first woman to lead a party in Congress, is a cinch to be re-elected minority leader. – (Reuters)
