Irish chip designer Parthus and Japanese electronics giant Hitachi today announced an alliance to develop system-on-chip products using Parthus¹ BlueStream Bluetooth platform.
Bluetooth is rapidly becoming the industry standard for wireless communication between a range of electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers and handheld devices.
This solution ensures an accelerated time-to-market for Hitachi¹s Bluetooth product range, while ensuring maximum compatibility with its SuperH microprocessor technology.
"Hitachi¹s microprocessor and radio technology is helping smooth the convergence of the Internet and wireless devices" said Mr Brian Long, chief executive officer of Parthus Technologies.
Shares in Parthus rose 8.4 per cent to £1.16 on the London market this morning after the announcement of the deal.
