ASH Ireland, the anti smoking group, has criticised the publication by The Irish Times and the Irish Independent of a photograph showing two men smoking cigars. It claimed the picture amounted to free advertising for the tobacco industry and it was irresponsible. The group also said 6,000 people die in Ireland each year from tobacco related diseases.
