Crystal Palace chairman, Simon Jordan, has dismissed claims his club are a selling club and insists that Republic of Ireland international Clinton Morrison is going nowhere.
Trevor Francis invested heavily in new players when he took over the manager's job from Steve Bruce last November, and the Eagles are still reeling from the collapse of ITV Digital.
Palace could recoup much of their outlay by selling striker Morrison, but Jordan said: "We are better able than most to cope with the current financial climate and I expect Trevor to bring players in.
"Clinton is halfway through a contract he signed 18 months ago and if I wanted to sell him it would have to be for the right price.
"I'm not willing to speculate what that price might be but I turned down an offer of Stg5 million from Birmingham."
