Liverpool striker Michael Owen is set to miss next week's Champions League showdown in Barcelona after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury.
England international Owen limped out of last night's 3-0 win over Newcastle and could be out of action for at least 10 days.
Assistant manager Phil Thompson told the club's official website: "He's got a tight hamstring. When he went down he felt it straight away and he signalled to me on the bench.
"He just got a knock but he's not too bad. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for Barcelona next week, but it will probably be a week to 10 days".
