The Orange Order will initiate a petition on Monday in support of the Portadown Orangemen still engaged in the standoff at Drumcree. The Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland, Mr Robert Saulters, will be the first to sign the petition, calling for "the restoration of civil liberties and the recognition of Orange culture". The petition also demands an end to the Order's perceived "demonisation".
