The 1919 silent film, Willy Reilly and His Colleen Bawn, will be given a special open-air screening in Dublin next week. It will be accompanied by the world premiere of Bernard Reilly's original score, which will be performed live by the Cine Theatre Ensemble. Set in Ireland during the mid-1700s, the film is a story of Catholic-Protestant disharmony overcome by young love.

Showing as part of the First Nights Programme for Diversions Temple Bar, the screening takes place at 10 p.m. next Friday in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar. This is a free ticketed event. Tickets are available in advance from Temple Bar Properties, 18 Eustace Street, Dublin 2.
