PARIS - The Hungarian-born French painter, Victor Vasarely, one of the stars of the Op Art movement in the 1960s whose geometrical works played on optical illusion, died in Paris on Saturday night, his daughter-in-law said yesterday.
A foundation bearing his, name founded in 1971 was placed in court-supervised liquidation last month.
