The Olympia Theatre's Christmas pantomime Dustin and Soky's Big Little Christmas was reviewed on Page 2 of our editions on December 27th.
This was written after the reviewer attended an earlier performance to which she was not invited and to which she sought admission on her arrival.
She did not attend the performance to which she had been pre-invited together with other reviewers and furthermore, she neglected to advise anybody of her intentions to attend such earlier performance.
A substantial part of the review dealt with allegations concerning a lack of suitable arrangements at the Olympia to enable the reviewer to discharge her task as a critic.
The Irish Times accepts and acknowledges that such criticisms were totally unwarranted and completely without foundation.
The Irish Times further acknowledges that at all times the Olympia Theatre and promoters MCD acted in a most professional and helpful manner in the circumstances of our reviewer's unexpected arrival.
