Official visit by European Parliament's President next month

The President of the European Parliament, Jose-Maria Gil-Robles, will pay an official visit to Ireland on March 3rd and 4th. Each President, during his or her term of office, makes an official visit to each Member State in turn. President Gil-Robles will be received by the President of Ireland, and by his Irish counterparts and hosts, the Ceann Comhairle, Seamus Pattison and the Cathaoirleach of the Senate, Brian Mullooly. He will call on the Taoiseach, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Governor of the Central Bank, and party leaders.

During his visit, Mr Gil-Robles will deliver a public lecture in Trinity College, Dublin, at 6.15 p.m. on March 4th to which all are welcome. The venue is the Walton Theatre, Arts Building.
