Unsettled Everton midfielder Alex Nyarko has claimed the Goodison Park club is being undermined by internal disputes.

Unsettled Everton midfielder Alex Nyarko has claimed the Goodison Park club is being undermined by internal disputes.

Nyarko claimed assistant-manager Archie Knox came to blows with midfielder Stephen Hughes during a game against Bradford and that Knox later insulted him.

"Archie was fighting with Stephen Hughes and the other players separated them," he said. "It was not the first time. I couldn't understand this attitude. We have to go and win a game, I can't cope with this.

"Archie was fighting with so many players in the room. In the end I could not be in the same room as him," he told The Mirror.

Nyarko demanded to be substituted after the on-field altercation, but although manager Walter Smith offered the player a chance to discuss his future with the club, his latest revelations seem certain to ensure a swift departure from Merseyside.
