The newly-elected chairwoman of the Irish Nursing Homes Organisation has criticised the Government's commitment to nursing homes. Ms Patricia Foley described the subvention levels as disgraceful, claiming there had been no increase since 1993. If funding was not increased the industry would collapse, leaving many without care, she warned.
