Anchorage - A Norwegian adventurer missing for almost a month emerged from the Alaskan wilderness at the weekend, Alaska police said yesterday. A day after state troopers suspended a search for him, Mr Oddarne Skaldebo walked into Koyukuk village on Saturday, his original destination in a trek through the Yukon River wilderness. Skaldebo (51), a geologist, told the Anchorage Daily News that he had not eaten for a week when he had chanced on a cabin stocked with basic food. While hiking with a 90lb pack over newly-formed ice on the Koyukuk River, he fell through, he told the Daily News.
