Nokia board member Mr Anssi Vanjoki has been ordered to pay Finland's most expensive speeding ticket ever.

Nokia board member Mr Anssi Vanjoki has been ordered to pay Finland's most expensive speeding ticket ever.

He was fined €116,000 euros ($103,500) after he was stopped by police in Helsinki last October, the tabloid daily Ilta Sanomatreported today.

Mr Vanjoki was caught driving 75 kilometres per hour in a 50-kph zone on his motorcycle.

Traffic fines in Finland are proportional to the offender's income. Mr Vanjoki has to pay a fine equal to 14 days of his income in 1999, which was €14 million euros.
