A high-level United States trade mission to Belfast is a further indication of the growing interest in Northern Ireland as "a base for profitable business growth", Northern Ireland Office minister, Mr Adam Ingram, said yesterday.

The mission, which is being led by the Assistant Commerce Secretary for trade and development, Mr Ellis Mottur, includes senior managers from 13 US companies. Meetings with local companies are being held with the aim of forging business alliances.
