The eight political leaders who negotiated the Belfast Agreement will be honoured, along with President Clinton, at a ceremony on December 8th.
The National Democratic Institute has announced that the nine men and women will receive the Averell Harriman Democracy Award for 1998. Mr Clinton and the political leaders have confirmed that they will attend the ceremony.
