Canada, Malaysia, Namibia, the Netherlands and Argentina become members tomorrow of the prestigious 15-member United Nations Security Council for two-year terms.

The Netherlands will take over the chairmanship from Portugal of the council's sanctions committee on Iraq, the most active of its sub-groups, council diplomats said. The Council's five permanent members are the US, Russia, Britain, France and China.
