The northern Secretary, Mr Peter Mandelson, has announced the appointment of Mr Justice W.A. Esson as a reserve member of the Bloody Sunday Inquiry Tribunal. Mr Justice Esson is a member of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia in Canada.
The decision to appoint a reserve to the tribunal was made following Sir Edward Somers's departure in the summer.
