Kinshasa - Soldiers of the Democratic Republic of the Congo mutinied at Matadi, the main seaport, yesterday, apparently over pay, Western and Congolese security sources said. There were reports of shots being fired into the air and houses being looted.
"It was just indiscipline among some troops. It's under control now. Troops were sent in," a senior military source said, adding that no one had been killed.
