A judge remanded two Limerick women in custody after he heard they were caught with cannabis resin with a street value

of £500,000. Ms Enda Griffin (47) of Collins Avenue, Kincora Park, Southill, and Ms Carol Griffin (29) of Hillcroft, St Patrick's Road, a mother and daughter, appeared before Limerick District Court. They are charged that on November 3rd, 1998, at St Nessan's Road, Dooradoyle, they had in their possession a controlled drug, cannabis resin, for the purpose of selling or supplying it. They are also charged with possession of the drugs.
