Additional evidence has been served on a man charged with the murder of Ms Marilyn Rynn, whose body was found near her home at Blanchardstown, Dublin, over a year ago.

Mr David Lawler (32), of Edgewood Lawn, Blanchardstown, is accused of murdering and raping the woman in the Tolka Valley between December 22nd and January 7th last year. Dublin District Court heard yesterday additional evidence of a technical nature was being served on the defendant.

Ms Fiona Brennan, solicitor, said the defence had intended to make submissions on the book of evidence but still had not received statements requested nearly two weeks ago.

Judge William Earley said it was desirable the defence would be furnished with these documents as quickly as possible. He remanded the defendant on bail to April 8th.
