Ireland's estimated 300,000 migraine sufferers have been encouraged to seek advice on migraine management and new treatments from their family doctor during Migraine Action Week which was launched at the weekend by the television personality Carrie Crowley.

A series of advertisements will be run on national radio, and special migraine information units will be open to the public in Dublin, Cork and Galway. A dedicated information hotline is available on Call Save 1850 787550 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until next Friday.
