Ireland's Damien McGrane is one shot off the BMW Russian Open lead after just six holes of today's rain delayed first round in Moscow.

The Wexford professional is nicely positioned on three under-par following a run of birides at the third, fourth and fifth.

He trails Pehr Magnebrant who is four under through six. The Swede opened with a brace of birdies and rattled off two more at the fifth and sixth.

Spaniard Ivo Giner and Sven Struver of Germany were in hot pursuit of the leaders on two under par after six holes.
