Manchester United chairman Martin Edwards has been cautioned after an alleged "peeping tom" incident in a ladies' toilet at a luxury hotel.

Edwards attended Wilmslow police station in Cheshire yesterday, following the incident at the Mottram Hall Hotel on August 17th.

The Daily Mirrorreports Edwards was said to have looked under the door of a toilet cubicle, leaving the woman inside feeling "very distressed".

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "The caution relates to behaviour which was likely to cause alarm or distress".
