A man (22) has been fatally shot in a Dublin pub early yesterday morning.

A man (22) has been fatally shot in a Dublin pub early yesterday morning.

A gunman entered the Black Horse Inn in Inchicore at about 12.15am and fired a number a shots, killing the victim and injuring another man (21). The second man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The attacker then walked across Tyrconnell Road and fired a number of shots back toward the pub.

According to gardaí, a red car drove into the pub car park earlier, at about 11.09pm, and two armed men left the car and entered the bar.

The men, who appeared to be looking for several people, then drove toward Bluebell. No shots were fired during this incident.

The area was sealed off for a technical examination, and gardaí have appealed for witnesses either incident to contact Kilmainham Garda station 01-666 9700 or the Garda confidential line 1-800-666-111.
