A Dublin man who pleaded guilty yesterday to the manslaughter of a couple whose flat was set on fire has been, remanded in custody for sentencing early next year.

Anthony Locke (19), of Ramillies Road, Bnllyfermot, pleaded not guilty in the Central Criminal Court to the murder of Gerard Kavanagh at Decies Road, Ballyfermot, on February 18th, 1995, and not guilty to the murder of Mary Core (30), at the same address on February 20th, 1995.

Locke also pleaded guilty to charges of arson at a Dublin Corporation house and maintenance depot at Garryowen Road on January 20th, 1994, and September 27th, 1994.
