A man was killed in a car incident in Co Monaghan overnight, the Garda said.
One man died and four other passengers were injured when a car collided with a poll in Clones at 2.15 a.m., a spokeswoman said.
No other vehicle was involved in the incident and the injured passengers were taken to Monaghan hospital for treatment, she said.
His identity has not yet been released.
