A man who paid sums of from £1 to £3 for sex with teenage girls has been jailed for seven years by the Central Criminal Court. Michael Bradley (54), married with a family, of St Bridget's Estate, Port Laoise, and a native of Tima hoe, pleaded guilty to charges of rape, unlawful carnal knowledge and sexual assaults on the girls, then aged 12 to 14 years, in 1997.
Mr John Phelan SC, defending, noted that his client had no previous convictions and his marriage was now over. He said the man apologised to his victims. Mr Justice Carney suspended the final year.
