A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions following the death of an elderly man in Samson's Lane, off Moore Street, Dublin, yesterday morning.
The man was struck by a lorry which was reversing in the lane. Mr James Mervin Hayes was in his late 70s and lived on the North Circular Road. Gardai arrested the lorry-driver.
