A man in his 30s is being questioned by gardaí in Wexford today after the seizure of heroin worth €2.2 million in Rosslare yesterday.

The drugs were found by Customs officers in the hidden compartment in the floor of a Nissan van that arrived on a ferry. The drugs weighed 10.6 kilograms.

The man is being detained under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act.

In Cork, a man in his 20s is being questioned over the discovery of cocaine worth €110,000 in Blarney.

He was arrested during the search of an apartment in the town. He is being held in Gurranabraher Garda station in Cork city.
