A man is due to appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow following an extensive investigation into money laundering and drug dealing in the State.

The investigation is under the auspices of National Support Services; encompassing the National Drugs Unit, the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation, the Criminal Assets Bureau and National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

This evening the Garda announced a drugs seizure in Co Kildare resulting from the investigation.

An address in Maynooth was raided and a "significant amount of heroin and cocaine was found".

The man to appear in court is one of three men arrested on Tuesday. The other two have now been released.

The investigation is unrelated to this week's Operation Cleanstreet IV which has seen 27 arrests and thousands of euro-worth of drugs seized.
