An elderly man died this afternoon after being involved in a car crash late on Thursday evening at Carrowcrory, Ballinafad in Co. Sligo
The man, who was in his seventies, was brought to Sligo General Hospital after his car collided with another car. He died of his injuries this afternoon.
The driver and two passengers of the other car were also taken to Sligo General Hospital with minor injuries.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who has any information to contact Ballymote Garda Station on 071-9189500.
