Gardaí are investigating a two vehicle collision that occurred shortly before 5pm this evening on the N86, Dingle to Anascaul Road, near Lispole, Co. Kerry.
A male in his 30's was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene when the car in which he was driving collided with a lorry.
The female passenger in the car, who is also in her 30's, was seriously injured and was taken to Tralee General Hospital.
The male driver of the lorry was reported to be uninjured.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place via the Conor Pass.
