A man was being detained in custody in Waterford city last night following a fatal hit-and-run accident there on Saturday. Ms Eleanor Cullinane, a 21-year-old nurse from Coolfin, Portlaw, died when the car in which she was a passenger was hit at the Ballybeg Drive traffic lights at 10.30 p.m.
