A 34-year-old Co Meath man was charged yesterday in connection with the weekend seizure of a £2.7 million cannabis haul near Fairyhouse. Mr Roy Smyth, Fairyhouse Road, Ratoath, was remanded in custody for a week by Kilcock District Court.
A second man was still being questioned last night. And a man and woman arrested in north Dublin in a follow-up operation were also being questioned at Kells Garda station.
