A man (34) is in hospital this morning after being beaten and shot by two men at his flat in Coleraine, Co Derry.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokeswoman said the man opened his front door at Dromard Drive just after midnight when he was confronted by two masked men.
He was hit with a baseball bat and then shot once in the left leg, she said.
