A man in his 30s remains in custody this morning following an ammunition find in Dundalk, Co Louth yesterday.
Armed gardaí stopped a car on the M1 in which a small quantity of bullets and a balaclava were found.
The man was arrested in an area know as Heynestown at approximately 4.30pm yesterday and is being detained at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 30 of Offences Against The State Act.
Gardaí seized a 4 X 4 vehicle in the course of this operation and are examining its contents.
