Man (84) attacked with hammer in North

An man was hit on the head with a hammer at a petrol station in Northern Ireland last night.

An man was hit on the head with a hammer at a petrol station in Northern Ireland last night.

The victim (84) was taken to hospital after the assault.

The intruder entered the premises in Main Street, Waringstown, Co Armagh, shortly before 8pm and caused damage to the inside of the service station before moving into the forecourt and hitting a number of cars.

One man was arrested.
