Gardaí in Galway are investigating the death of a 54-year-old man in a house fire in the city yesterday evening.
He was named as Tommy Sweeney, a resident of Castlepark.
Gardaí believe he was in the house on his own when the fire started at about 5.30pm. Foul play is not suspected.
