Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the shooting of a young man in the north of the city early this morning.
The victim (24) was shot three times from a car as he walked down Leix Road in Cabra at around 12.15 am.
He made his own way to the Mater hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
Gardaí confirmed a burnt out car was found a short time after the incident in the Ratoath Estate, Cabra. It has been removed for technical examination.

The attack is the second such shooting this week after a man from Crumlin was shot twice in the south Dublin suburb of Stillorgan on Wednesday.
