A Co Waterford couple who scooped last weekend’s 16.7 million Lotto jackpot said yesterday they were “over the moon” with the win.
The couple, who wish their win to remain private, bought their winning quick-pick ticket at an Eason’s store in Dungarvan shopping centre on the day of the draw.
“It’s going to take time for all this to sink in and we do expect our lives to change, but we’re going to take it slowly – for the moment anyhow,” they said after collecting their windfall yesterday.
It was the second largest jackpot since the Lotto began.
