The June Bank Holiday lotto jackpot of £2,119,025 was won by a married man from north Co Dublin who wishes to remain anonymous. He said he played Lotto since it began in 1988 and was always confident he would win. "I always knew I would win at some stage," he said yesterday when collecting his cheque at the National Lottery offices. The quickpick ticket was bought in The Acorn newsagent's shop in Coolock, Dublin, on Saturday.
He is the 15th quickpick winner since this feature was introduced in 1994.
