A Lithuanian man has appeared in Newry Magistrate¿s Court charged with the murder of two countrymen in Co Down last May.
Mr Julius Aguonis (19), whose address was given as Shuttleworth Road in Preston, England, was remanded in custody until September 25th.
The court heard that when charged at Banbridge police station, Mr Agounis replied: "I am innocent."
He was arrested in Lancashire and taken back to Belfast on Tuesday.
The bodies of two men were found lying in long grass near a golf course in Warrenpoint, Co Down.
They are believed to have been murdered at a house in nearby Newry where a number of Lithuanian immigrants had been living while illegally working on mushroom farms in the area.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland and Scotland Yard are searching for a second suspect they believe is in London.
