World heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis will face Vitali Klitschko in a title fight in the United States in April, Klitschko's promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl has said.

Kohl told Germany's SID news agency the bout between the British champion and the Ukrainian challenger would take place on either April 12 or 19 - perhaps in Las Vegas but definitely in the United States.

"The contract was already signed by both sides in September - the only open question is where the fight will take place, either Las Vegas or another city. But in any event in the United States," he said.

Lewis had said earlier this month that he would be fighting Klitschko in March and might also go on to a rematch with Mike Tyson and then take on the Ukrainian's brother Wladimir, the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) title holder.
