Grozny - Chechen officials have obtained a confession from the organiser of the kidnapping of four slain Western hostages and are closing in on the rest of his band, Russian state television reported yesterday.
"The organiser of the kidnapping of three Britons and a New Zealander, Abdi Abilayev, has confessed fully and is giving evidence about the others involved in the crime," RTR television said.
