A Dublin woman denied to a jury in the Central Criminal Court yesterday that she had "kissed and cuddled" with a man she alleges raped her in a park in 1996.

Mr Denis Vaughan Buckley SC, defending, also suggested his client had consumed two litres of cider and some beer and that this over-consumption of alcohol had rendered his client incapable of performing sexual intercourse.

Counsel suggested to her that she and the man fondled each other and that she had performed oral sex on the accused. The woman replied: "He forced me to do this".

The alleged victim, a mother in her 30s, was being cross-examined on the second day of the trial of a 39-year-old Dublin man who denies falsely imprisoning her and raping her between 10 p.m. on July 15th, and 7 a.m. on July 16th, 1996. He also denies charges of anal rape, oral rape, aggravated sexual assault and assaulting her, occasioning actual bodily harm.
