Dermot Keely today announced his intention to resign as manager of Shelbourne.

Dermot Keely today announced his intention to resign as manager of Shelbourne.

The Shels boss revealed the news after his side's 4-0 defeat by Bohemians at Dalymount Park today.

Keely was disappointed with his side's performance against their Dublin rivals and feels it is now time for him to move aside.

Also largely reponsible for his decision to leave is the fall-out from the St Patrick's player registration affair which has cast a huge shadow over this season's eircom League.
