Jurys Doyle Hotel Group has sold the Waterford Hotel and the Jurys Skylon Hotel to the Donegal based McEniff Hotel Group for €14 million.
Commenting on the sale, Mr Pat McCann, chief executive, Jurys Doyle Hotels said while the Waterford and Skylon hotels have performed well over the years, they did not fit into the group’s strategic plans.
"We received a very good offer for both properties at the right time and are pleased to have a purchaser who will continue to operate both properties as going concerns with the existing management and staff," Mr McCann said.
Jurys has been increasingly looking at the overseas market for expansion in recent years. In the US, work on Jurys Boston Hotel is due to commence this month.
In April, the company announced a €90 million development consisting of three new Jurys Inns in Glasgow, Leeds and Chelsea.
