Journalist Nell McCafferty was fined £200 yesterday for dangerous driving. Ms McCafferty (56), Rugby Road, Ranelagh, Dublin, denied the charge arising out of an accident at North Road, Finglas, on February 2nd, 1999.
The Dublin District Court heard the accident happened when Ms McCafferty overtook a lorry, causing the driver to brake sharply and collide with her car.
