Jerusalem - Israel has denied entry to the former British pop musician Yousef al-Islam because he supports the Palestinian organisation Hamas, an Israeli official said.
Al-Islam, who was known as Cat Stevens before converting to Islam in 1977, landed in Israel from Germany on Wednesday.
